Job Description
Pioneer Healthcare Services is seeking a committed Speech Language Pathologist to join a school district in San Diego County, CA for the 24/25 SY Spring Semester. The qualified SLP will act as the students' partner throughout their daily tasks and assist students to function at their personal best. You will maximize the quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment or intervention, and rehabilitation.
Active SLP State License
Must have their CCCs
Current BLS/CPR Certification
Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments
Proficiency with computers, especially patient and healthcare databases
Attentive and caring with the ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
Excellent coaching and verbal and written communication skills
IEP Meetings
Conducting assessments, analyzing results, and writing reports to determine strengths and concerns in areas of speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills
Ensuring evaluations, treatment plans and service delivery are aligned with school, state, and federal guidelines
Completing treatment notes and progress reports in timely manner and according to school policy
Provide therapy on site
Grade level Pre K- 12
Reporting progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals
Performing screenings to detect voice or speech disorders
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
Submit all billing logs and necessary information on a timely basis
